ROTO HARDWARE
High-performance Hardware: Our casement and awning windows come fitted with a high quality multi-point locking system. The hardware is corrosion resistant and stainless steel in critical areas. The locking mechanism is driven by a folding cranked handle thus the system is locked with a single operation easy-to-reach lock. Special egress hinges can be added to comply with egress conditions.
Finest Technology: All components are fully integrated in the window sash making them invisible from the outside.
Strong High Sash Weights and High Security: With the standard Roto NT Designo hardware, sash weights of up to 176 lbs (80kg) are possible. As from May 2007, windows with a sash weight of up to 286 lbs. (130kg) can also be made.
Innovative Security Concept: Roto NT Designo is equipped with small, compact hinge-side components for additional security - up to burglary resistance grade 2 (WK2). The anti-jimmy device is integrated as standard in the corner hinge.
Straight Forward Designo is Completely Integrated: All of Roto NT Designo's components are perfectly matched with the Roto NT modular system. This considerably reduces installation time and expense.
Twin-Cam Security Lock (TSL): Up to eight locking points with adjustable twin-cams offer even greater security against burglary. The unique gear mechanism operates the reverse-action twin cams.
All cams engage in behind individual recesses on both sides of the striker; in both the locking and night-vent position. Attempts to force a cam out of its locked position only drive the other cam deeper into its recess.
The "Twin-cam Security Lock" stands for high security and effective resistance against lateral forces as well as easy operation.
Roto X-Drive and X-Drive Marine Series: With Roto's newest line of casement and awning hardware, you get the reliability of the standard hardware in powder-coated steel or the strength and corrosion resistance of marine-grade stainless steel. Add to this, superior performance and unique styling and mix in the option of adding an aesthetically-appealing removable cover, where the standard folding handle nests to virtually disappear, and you get real flexibility.
Roto X-Drive Operator Series:
Roto's new, compact X-Drive Casement & Awning Operators feature your choice of 100% stainless steel or powder coated steel on all exterior components for super-smooth performance, unsurpassed quality, and superior corrosion resistance. Add to this an optional removable cover that's available in either metal or plastic, with numerous architectural finishes and you get real flexibility. Roto operators feature a standard folding handle, and now, with the removable cover, it nests compactly to virtually disappear.
X-Drive Performance:
The X-Drive operator is designed to outperform the standards set by AAMA. The carbon steel arms exceed the AAMA 907 standard of 750 hours of corrosion protection. The stainless steel operator provides over 2000 hours! The gear drive system is protected to minimize contaminants and operator housing is sealed to resist water infiltration. The series has been commercially rated to AAMA 101 - verified components list and is Rated Heavy Commercial to AAMA 901 - Rotary Operator Cycle Test.
Available Operators:
Single Arm:
Available in 7.5", 9.5" and 13.5". Sash fully opens in only 7 turns.
Split Arm:
For smaller casement applications, fits windows as narrow as 13" and fully opens in 7 turns.
Dual Arm:
Ideal for high end requirements. Opens sashes from as small as 24" to as large as 48" x 84" and up to 108 lbs with only 17 turns.
Awning:
Specifically designed for smooth operation in awning windows with a minimum width of 18". Provides up to 13" of opening in only 12 turns.
X-Drive Covers:
Roto offers a wide variety of colors and finish options for the X-Drive removable covers, in both metal and plastic. This offers manufacturers a flexible solution and reduced inventories.
i-Lock Sliding Window Sash Lock
:
Roto i-Lock's automatic latching and retention feature makes it easy to determine if the window is locked or unlocked. To unlock the window, users simply pull the "button" toward them into the unlocked position and the button indicates that the window is unlocked. As the window sash is opened, the lock resets to the locked position. When the sash is closed, an audible click to indicates the window is locked securely.
For greater durability, i-Lock's internal mechanism has two retention clips and two springs. The simple design requires less moving parts resulting in reliable operation. In addition, its latch is positioned in the center of the lock for maximum balance.
Capitalizing on this balance, i-Lock has been proven to achieve forced entry resistance requirements as well as passing required industry performance and hurricane impact testing.
